Griffin was a lawless person but by profession he was a scientist. He did not follow the rules and orders. As he thought of having revenge by setting up fire in landlord's house. He robbed a shopkeeper that all of the money he had. He hit him hard brom behind to escape without seeing. He stole the housekeeping money from Clergyman's house. He also attacked Mrs Hall with his cap and furniture when she intruded his toom. All of these incidents prove that Griffin was a lawless scientist.
