On a violin I find it quite easy compared to a guitar, to find ‘globally’ the notes and play a song. but it is far from easy to play a song in tune and beautifully, that takes years. The chord on a guitar you basically play over 6 strings in the first position (on a violin over 2 strings) and the 5 finger coordination of your left hand is totally different from your 5 fingers of your right hand. This particular I find harder on the guitar then on the violin where one hand/arm is bowing and the other fingers play on 4 strings. But to reach a high quality bowing technique, that takes years of practice
