During his stay at another strange island of Brobdingnag, Gulliver comes across monstrous giants. Gulliver looked like the Lilliputians in front of these giants.

He became an object of curiosity for everyone there who feel like he was some kind of an insect. The wife of his captor screams after seeing Gulliver and runs away. Gulliver is then lifted to great heights in the air by the youngest son of the captor.

He then comes across a giant cat which was three times the size of an ox, a giant woman who was feeding her child, a couple of rats which were as big as big dogs.

When brought near the Queen, the dwarf puts Gulliver into a bowl of cream and he is then pushed through a marrow-less bone. The wasps were as big as partridges, the bowls in the kitchen were huge, and he was once carried off by a huge monkey. He is also picked up by a huge eagle and is then dropped in the sea which ends his second voyage and his stay at
Brobdingnag.

The people of Brobdingnag were twelve times taller than Gulliver. His tiny size made him vulnerable to danger. Some of the mishaps he faced were:

1. The farmer's youngest son lifted Gulliver by the legs and held him so high in the air that he began to tremble with fear. Later when he woke he was attacked by a couple of rats which were as big as dogs.

2. When he was walking under an apple tree the Queen's dwarf shook the tree due to which apples started falling. Gulliver was hit by an apple and he fell flat on his face.

3. When he was sitting on a plot of grass a sudden hail shower nearly crushed him to death with balls which were about 1,800 times the size of European hail.

4. Once Glumdalclitch left him in the palace garden. A small white dog which was let loose in the garden picked Gulliver and took him to his master, the head gardener.

5. He caught a bird once but it pecked him almost to death. He was saved by a servant who killed the bird.

6. He used to go to the trough to row or sail. One day the servants who filled the trough with water accidentally let a frog loose. Gulliver's boat was almost tipped over by the frog.

7. One day Glumdalclitch left Gulliver in her closet. A monkey came in from outside and found Gulliver. It mistook him to be a baby monkey. It grabbed him and took him to the roof. There it started stuffing Gulliver with treats. A small crowd gathered to free him from the monkey. The people laughed hysterically at the sight. Finally, the monkey dropped him and ran away.

8. A huge eagle picked him up and dropped him in the sea where he was rescued by a passing ship.
