Let x kg be the gunpowder which contain 9kg nitre.

So,

A/q

= > 75\% \: of \: x = 9=>75%ofx=9

= > \frac{75}{100} x = 9=>10075x=9

= > x = \frac{9 \times 100}{75}=>x=759×100

= > x = 12kg=>x=12kg

Hence,12 kg of gunpowder carry 9kg nitre.

Now,

Let y kg gunpowder contain 2.5 kg of Sulphur.

A/q

= > 10\% \: of \: y \: = 2.5=>10%ofy=2.5

= > \frac{10}{100}y = 2.5=>10010y=2.5

= > y = \frac{2.5 \times 100}{10}=>y=102.5×100

= > y = 25=>y=25

Hence,

25kg of gunpowder carries 2.5 kg Sulphur.

Let x kg be the amount of gunpowder which carries 9 kg nitre. Because gunpowder contains 75% nitre we can say:
x * 0.75 = 9
x = 9 / 0.75
x = 12.
Hence 12 kg gunpowder carries 9 kg nitre.
Let y kg be the amount of gunpowder which contains 2.5 kg sulfur. As gunpowder contains 10% sulfur we obtain:
y * 0.1 = 2.5
y = 25.
