In 1621, Guru Tegh Bahadur was born in Amritsar and at first, his name was Tyal Mall. He was born at the time where India is under the Mughal emperor.

After the battle kartarpur in 1635 at the age of 14, his father give him the title of "Tegh Bahadur" which means "The fearless master of the sword". He was born in a place called Guru Ke Mahal. This becomes Guru Tegh Bahadur as his name.

In his childhood, Guru Tegh Bahadur mastered martial arts, horse riding, and also a sword. But staying along with his father during the battles, he decided to choose the path of meditation.

In 1633, Tegh Bahadur married Gujri in kartarpur. After the fights with Mughal commanders, the Guru Tegh Bahadur family decided to stay with the family in the Himalayan Shivalik hills.

In 1664, Guru Tegh Bahadur became the ninth Guru of the Sikhs. He attracted large numbers of devotees and followers.

Guru Tegh Bahadur was publicly beheaded at Chandni Chowk in Delhi in 1675 for refusing the authority of the Mughal emperor.
