Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of sequence of this series is that each number is subtracted with consequent even numbers

first number is 0 -0 =0

0-2 = -2

-2-4 = -6

-6-6 = -12

-12-8 = -20

Hope you got it here consequent even numbers are subtracted from previous number.

Answer:

nth term of the sequence will be -n(n-1)

as we can see that

first term = 0 = -1*(1-1)

second term = -2 = -2*(2-1)

third term = -6= -3*(3-1)

fourth term = -12 = -4*(4-1)

fifth term = -20 = -5*(5-1)

......

similarly

nth term = -n*(n-1)
