We are to prove that Ab || CD.

It is given that ray GM is the bisector of ∠ EGB

Therefore,      ∠ EGM = \frac{1}{2} ∠EGB                     (1)

Similarly, ray HL is the bisector of ∠ GHD

Therefore,     ∠ GHL= \frac{1}{2} GHD                         (2)

But GM || HL and EF is the transversal.

Therefore,   ∠ EGM = ∠ GHL

(Corresponding angles axiom)                      (3)

Substituting (1) and (2) in (3), you get

\frac{1}{2} ∠ EGB = \frac{1}{2} ∠ GHL

That is,

∠ EGB= ∠ GHD

But, they are the corresponding angles formed by transversal AD with PQ and RS;  and are equal.

Therefore,

PQ || RS

(Converse of corresponding angles axiom)
