1) (a)Velocity is a vector quantity and it requires both magnitude and direction to describe it completely.

(b)For a body moving along a straight line in the positive direction, distance travelled = displacement.

So we can say the numerical value and direction of velocity and speed will be same.

(c)Distance:

1/2(circumference)

=>1/2(2*π*R)

=>πR

Displacement:

As the body completes half Revolution, displacement=

R+R=2R

=>2R along the diameter
