Let a triangle ∆ABC

H(Hypotenuse) = 13cm

P(Perpendicular) = 12cm

B(Base)= ?

ACC. to Pythagoras theorem-

H²=B²+P²

=> B²= H²-P²

B = √13²-12²

B = √25

B = 5cm

Area of ∆ABC = 1/2 × B × P

= 1/2 × 5 × 12

= 60/2

= 30cm²
