 { \sec }^{2} x -  { \tan}^{2} x = 1

(secx-tanx)(secx+tanx)=1

secx+tanx/1=1/(secx-tanx)

by equal ratio theorem

(secx+tanx+1)/secx-tanx+1)=secx+tanx

as secx+tanx=(1+sinx)/cosx

therefore (secx+tanx+1)/secx-tanx+1)=(1+sinx)/cosx
