LHS

=tan38°-cot22°

=(sin38°/cos38°)-(cos22°/sin22°)

=(sin38°sin22°-cos38°cos22°)/(cos38°)(sin22°)

=-cos(38°+22°)(sec38°)(cosec22°)

=-cos60°cosec22°sec38°

=-½cosec22°sec38°

hope it helps.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

 \sf\red{tan38° - cot22°} \\  \sf\red{ =  >  \frac{sin38°}{cos38° }  -  \frac{cos22°}{sin22°} } \\  \sf\red{ =  >  \frac{sin38°sin22° - cos22°cos38°}{cos38°sin22°}  } \\  \sf\green{we \: know \: thatcos(A + B) = cosAcosB - sinAsinB} \\  \sf\red{ =  >  \frac{ - cos(60°)}{sin(22°)cos(38°)} } \\  \sf\red{=> \frac{ \frac{-1}{2} }{sin(22°)cos(38°)} } \\  \sf\red{=>  \frac{-1}{2}cosec22°sec38° } \\  \large\boxed{ \fcolorbox{pink}{blue}{hope \: it \: help \: you}}
