Median is the middlemost data.

Given: Median of x, 2x and 4x is 12.

To find: the value of x.

Answer:

Median = (n + 1)/2, where n represents the number of observations.

n = 3

Substituting the given values,

12 = (3 + 1)/2

12 = 4/2

12 = 2nd term

12 = 2x

x = 12/2

x = 6

Hope it helps :)
