Guys pls help with this question
a train is travelling at a speed of 54 kmph brakes are applied so as to produce a uniform acceleration of -0.25 ms. Calculate the distance travelled by the train before it comes to rest.

✰ distance travelled by the train = 450m.
✰ we used the equation v² - u² = 2as
where,
➜⠀⠀⠀v = final velocity
➜⠀⠀⠀u = initial velocity
➜⠀⠀⠀a = acceleration
➜⠀⠀⠀s = distance
✰ ⠀⠀⠀Inital velocity (u) = 54km/h
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 54×(5/18)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 15m/s
✰⠀⠀⠀ Final velocity (v) = 0
✰ ⠀⠀⠀Acceleration (a) = -(0.25)
➜⠀⠀⠀we need to find the distance ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀travelled by the train.
➩⠀⠀⠀v² - u² = 2as
putting all values in the equation.
we get ,
➩⠀⠀⠀0² - (15)² = 2 × (-0.25)×s
➩⠀⠀⠀-225 = - 0.5s
➩⠀⠀⠀s = 225/0.5
➩⠀⠀⠀s = 450m
So the distance travelled by the train is 450 m.
