Required Answer:-

Answer - (1)

The IUPAC names of the compounds in the attachment are as follows:

  1. Hexanoic acid
  2. propanone or propan-1-one
  3. Butan-2-ol
  4. Hex-2-ene
  5. Butan-2-one

Note:-

  • I hope, you are aware of the important rules in IUPAC nomenclature.
  • You should know the functional groups and how to name the compound according to the functional group attached to which carbon atom.

Answer - (2)

1. Sulphurous acid (\rm{H_2SO_3}) and phosphoric acid (\rm{H_3PO_4}). Clearly there are 3 atoms of hydrogen in one atom of phosphoric acid. After disassociation, they will combine with 3 molecules to water to form the hydronium ions.

2. When ammonia gas is passed over the lead nitrate, a double displacement reaction takes place and lead hydroxide is formed as the precipitate. The other product is ammonium nitrate.

First ammonia reacts with water to form ammonium hydroxide:

\rm{NH_3 + H_2O \longrightarrow NH_4OH}

Then the double displacement reaction:

 \rm{Pb(NO_3)_2 + 2NH_4OH \longrightarrow 2NH_4NO_3 + Pb(OH)_2}
