Correct answer is C

According to principle of conservation of linear momentum

1000×50=1250 × v/P

V=40km/hr

Or

Answer: (C) 40 km h–1

m1 = 1000 kg

v1 = 50 kmph

m2 = 1000 + 250 = 1250 kg.

v2 = 2

by principle of conservation of momentum,

m1v1 = m2 v2

v2 = {(m1v1) / (m2)}

= {(1000 × 50) / (1250)}

v2 = 40 kmph

Hope it helps u mark as brainliest please
