It is sad but true that racism always existed in our societies since ancient times. Racism is the belief that based on ethnicity or skin colour, certain groups or races are inferior or superior to others.

Slavery was considered a normal way of life because the white thought they have better abilities and intelligence. Six million Jews died in the holocaust of Nazi Germany because of ethnic discrimination. Anti-semitism is still a huge problem of the world.

It is difficult to imagine how we can live in a racist society in our postmodern era. Nothing good and worthwhile can be achieved by racial discrimination. We should not remain silent when we see bigotry, intolerance, prejudice and any sort of discrimination against any ethnic group. We all need to know that underneath there is only one race, the human race.
