In our case 1.75, 5.60, 7.00
2) Ignore the decimal point and treat the number as a whole.
In our case 175, 560, 700
3) Find the factors of the numbers.
In our case 175 = 5 * 5 * 7 * 1
560 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 5 * 7 * 1
700 = 2 * 2 * 5 * 5 * 7 * 1
4) Find the H.C.F. of the numbers.
In our case 5 * 7 = 35
5) Put the decimal point in the H.C.F. of step 4 so as to have the same number of digits as the numbers had after the decimal point in step 1.
