The correct answer is option (1) Avogadro Number.

The correct answer is option (1) Avogadro Number. GIVEN

H₂ gas and Fe₃O₄ produced by the action of 27 gram of steam on excess of iron. Further the H₂ gas reacts with excess of N₂ to produce NH₃.

TO FIND

Number of molecules of NH₃ formed.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

The reaction between Iron and steam can be represented as follows;

3Fe 4H₂O --------------> Fe₃O₄ + 4H₂

From the above reaction we can observe that the 4 moles of H₂O forms 4 Moles of Hydrogen gas.

Amount of water(Steam) given = 27 grams

Moles of H₂O = 27/18 = 1.5 moles.

Amount of H₂ produced by 1.5 moles of H₂O = 1.5 moles.

Mass of H₂O produced = 1.5 × 2 = 3 grams

Reaction between H₂ and N₂-

3H₂ + N₂ -----------> 2NH₃

3 moles of H₂ produces 2 moles of NH₃

1 mole of H₂ will produce 2/3 = 0.6 mole of NH₃

1.5moles of H₂ will produce 0.6 × 1.5 = 0.9 ≈ 1 mole Of NH₃.

we know that, 1 mole = Avogadro's Number

Number of molecules of NH₃ formed = Avogadro Number.

Hence, The correct answer is option (1) Avogadro Number.
