first take, x=0

$\sqrt{3x + 1} - \sqrt{x - 1}$
$\sqrt{3 \times 0 + 1} - \sqrt{0 - 1}$
$\sqrt{1} - \sqrt{ - 1}$
It is not equal to the 2.

so now take x=1

$\sqrt{3 \times 1 + 1} - \sqrt{1 - 1}$
$\sqrt{4} - \sqrt{0}$
=2-0
=1

hence the x value is 1.
