Answer:

perimeter =2 (l+b)

half peri. 36m= (l+b)

let breadth=x

length= 4x

perimeter= 2×36

= 72m

perimeter = 2 (l+b)

72= 2 (4+x+x)

36= 4+2x

36-4=2x

32= 2x

32/2=x

16=x

breadth=16

length= x+4=16+4=20

Answer:

The length is 16 m and the breadth is 8 m .

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of the rectangular garden = x m

So, length of the rectangular garden = 2x m

Half the perimeter of the rectangular garden = 24 m

According to the question,

   \frac{2(l + b)}{2} = 24 \:  \\  =  > l + b = 24  \\ =  > 2x + x = 24 \\  =  > 3x = 24 \\  =  > x =  \frac{24}{3}  \\  =  > x = 8

Breadth of the rectangular garden = x m = 8 m

Length of the rectangular garden = 2x m = (2×8) m = 16 m
