Half of the total number of men in a village are farmers and three fourths of the remaining are labourers. The rest 400 are in other professions. Find the number of men in a village ​

 \frac{1}{2}  +  \frac{3}{4}  +  \frac{400}{1}

for adding we will have to find LCM which is 4

 \frac{1}{2}  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{2}{2}  =  \frac{2}{4}

 \frac{3}{4}  =  \frac{3}{4}  \times  \frac{1}{1}  =  \frac{3}{4}

 \frac{400}{1}  =  \frac{400}{1}  \times  \frac{4}{4}  =  \frac{1200}{4}

therefore total number of mens are

 \frac{2 + 3 + 1200}{4}

 =  \frac{1205}{4}

number of mens=301.25
