Answer:

15m  and  12m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of the rectangle be 'x' so the length should be 'x + 3'.

  Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

                         = 2(x + x+3)

                         = 2(2x + 3)

Given, half of the perimeter of the rectangle is 27 m.

∴ 1/2 of  2(2x + 3) = 27

   ⇒ 1/2 * 2(2x + 3) = 27

   ⇒ 1(2x + 3) = 27

   ⇒ 2x + 3 = 27

   ⇒ 2x = 27 - 3

   ⇒ x = 24/2

   ⇒ x = 12

Hence,

breadth of the rectangle = x = 12 m

length of the rectangle = x+3 = 12+3 = 15m

Given :

  • Half the perimeter of a rectangle is 27m.
  • Its length is 3m more than its breadth.

 \:

To Find :

  • Its length and breadth.

 \:

Solution :

Let

  • breadth = x
  • length = x + 3

ATQ,

\sf{2 × (x + 3 + x) = 27 × 2}

\sf{(x + 3) + x = \Large\frac{27 \: × \: 2}{2} }

\sf{2x = 27 - 3}

\sf{x = \Large{\cancel{\frac{24}{2}}} \small \leadsto \: 12}

Hence,

  • ⇒ breadth = 12m
  • ⇒ length = (12 + 3) = 15m
