Half the perimter of rectangular garden is 36 so, 2(l+b)/2=36
                                                                          i.e. (l+b)=36
Lenth is 4 m more than its width solet width x and lenth be x+4

Put this in eq above x+x+4=36
2x+4=36
2x=32
x=16

Answer:

It is given that, half of the Perimeter of reactangular garden is 36 :]

So,

➦ 2(l + b)/2 = 36

➦ l + b = 36.......[Equation (i)]

Now,

Let width be x

and length be x + 4

Putting this values in equation (i) we get,

➝ l + b = 36

➝ x + x + 4 = 36

➝ 2x + 4 = 36

➝ 2x = 36 - 4

➝ 2x = 32

➝ x = 32/2

➝ x = 16 m

Therefore,

Width of reactangular garden = x = 16 m

Length of the reactangular garden = x + 4 = 16 + 4 = 20 m
