Let us take lenght be x and
Breadth be y
So
Perimeter of rectangle
2(x+y)=36/2
So equation will be
X+Y= 36
And
Second equation will be
x-y=4
So by substitution method
X+y=36
X-y=4
2x=40
X=40/2
X=20
And y=16
Breadth be y
So
Perimeter of rectangle
2(x+y)=36/2
So equation will be
X+Y= 36
And
Second equation will be
x-y=4
So by substitution method
X+y=36
X-y=4
2x=40
X=40/2
X=20
And y=16
