Let the width of the garden be x

So, the length of the garden will be 4+x

Now, the formula of perimeter of rectangle is,

P= 2(l+w)

According to the question

36=[1/2{2(4+x+x)}]

36=(4+2x)

36-4=2x

32=2x

32/2=x

16=x

Length=4+x

=4+16

20
