Let, the width be x m.
then, the length is (x + 4) m.

According to the question,
1/2 × 2 ( x + x + 4) = 36
or, 2x + 4 = 36
or, 2x = 32
or, x = 16
or, x + 4 = 20

So, the length and the width of the garden is 20 m and 16 m respectively.

Dimensions= 20×16 m sq
