Halley's comet comes closer to the sun at every 76 years, why?

The only difference between their orbitsis that the comet orbit is a lot more elongated or elliptical, while the planet orbit is more round. This is the reason why Halley's comet takes 76 years to come close to the sun again. It will startis journey towards the sun in 2023 and will now be visible in 2061.
