Because insulater does not conduct electricity. So if we take kettle our hand not burn and we will not get a electric shock

As we know insulator is a bad conductor of electricity.handle and lid of electric kallel of good insulator so that when we hold the handle the electricity cannot flow through it and it prevent burn in our hand.
