1) Bicycle is a simple machine. The wheels of the cycle act as a speed multiplier. When we apply force on the pedals, the chain connected to the axles of the two wheels move, consequently causing the wheels to move.
2) Ice is slippery because it is smooth and as such provides no friction. Friction between the floor and the heel of our shoes help us to stand erect.
3) After we take in food, all the energy is used up by the body to aid digestion. So, we lose much of our energy and become giddy. Hence, we fall asleep.
4) There are 8 planets in the solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The five dwarf planets are Ceres, Pluto, Eris, Makemake, and Haumea
5) About millions of years ago, a meteoroid is known to have hit the earth, savaging it. All the then creatures, thus, became extinct.
6) Atoms compose every single thing in the universe.

A bicycle works with the help of rubber tires, drive chains, gears which are driven by pedals for speed, brakes which are for slowing down the bike and handlebars which help in steering the bike.

Ice is slippery because there is a very thin layer of water on it, which makes it slippery. Currently, the scientists are not able figure out why a thin layer of water is present on the top of ice.

Sleeping is required by the body to restore energy, rejuvenate, to grow muscle, to repair muscle and to synthesize hormones.

There are 8 planets in solar system.

There are many reasons why Dinosaurs died. Like falling of meteors on Earth, various climatic and geographical changes, shortage of food etc.

Well, this depends on how is the object you are asking for. The smallest thing that composes much of the universe would be atoms.
