Answer:

rs 12000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Harish invested rs.90000 for 4 months,

And, after investing  rs 10000 after 4 months,

His investment for 8 months = rs 100000,

Now, Prakash invested rs.120000 for 6 months,

And, after withdrawing rs 20000 after 6 months,

His investment for 6 months = rs 100000,

Hence, the ratio of Harish's and Prakash's profit,

90000 × 4 + 100000 × 8 : 120000 × 6 + 100000 × 6   ( profit ∝ investment × time )

360000 + 800000 : 720000 + 600000

29 : 33

Let  Harish's profit = 29x and Prakash's profit = 33x,

Where, x is any number.

Total profit = 29x + 33x = 62x

According to the question,

62x = 186000

x = 3000

Hence, the difference the profit and earned by them = 33x - 29x = 4x = 4(3000) = rs 12000
