Principal amount = Rs 2500

Interest per year = 3% x 2500 = 0.03 x 2500 = Rs 75

Interest for 2 years = 75 x 2 = Rs 150

Principal amount = Rs 1000

Interest per year = 5% x 1000 = 0.05 x 1000 = Rs 50

Interest for 2 years = 50 x 2 = Rs 100

Total interest = 150 + 100 = Rs 250

Answer: The total interest after 2 years is Rs 250

SOLUTION :-

Harish borrows Rs 2500 at 3% per annum

and

He also borrows Rs 1000 at 5% per annum

He has to pay after 2 years

____________________________________

Harish borrows Rs 2500 at 3% per annum

So here,

Principal (P) = Rs 2500

Rate of Interest (R) = 3% per annum

Time (T) = 2 years

Now,

We will find Simple Interest (S.I)

S.I = \frac{P \times T \times R}{100}

S.I = \frac{2500 \times 2 \times 3}{100}

S.I = Rs 150

________________________________

He also borrows Rs 1000 at 5% per annum

So, here

Principal (P) = Rs 1000

Rate of Interest (R) = 5% per annum

Time (T) = 2 years

Now,

We will find Simple Interest (S.I)

S.I = \frac{P \times T \times R}{100}

S.I = \frac{1000 \times 2 \times 5}{100}

S.I = Rs 100

Adding both the Simple Interest  (S.I)

= Rs 150 + Rs 100

= Rs 250

Hence,

Harish have too pay Rs 250 interest after 2 years
