Total mass of the cake = 2 kg 500 g
= 2500 g
Total pieces = 10
Mass of each piece = 2500/10 g
= 250 g
He ate = 250 × 2 = 500 g
Remaining mass = 2500 - 500 = 2000 g
He gave away 5 pieces = 250 × 5 =1250 g
Remaining mass = 2000 - 1250 g = 750 g
Hence the mass of remaining pieces is 750 g

Answer:
2kg 500g = 2500g
dividing into 10 equal parts
=2500/10
= 250g
each piece = 250g
used pieces 7
therefore total mass of used cake
= 250 x 7
= 1750
therefore,
remaining mass
= 2500 - 1750
= 750g
there fore remaing mass of cake = 750g
hope it helps.....
