Haritha Haram is a mission taken by the state of Telangana for aforestation. Due to the need of land for industrial and residential set up, tree are being cut restlessly which is harmful for us.
Advantage of Haritha Haram:
Human beings cannot think of their life without trees. Trees provides us oxygen, they keep the environment clean by taking in carbondioxide. Plants provide us food to eat.
Haritha Haram is regimen which will help us plant more and more trees so that we can protect our environment.
Trees also help us to reduce global warming and Haritha Haram is a great mission to cut down on the score of global warming for India.
Haritha Haram will help us increase the forest cover from 24 % to 33 %.
Trees make the soil fertile and because of it crops grow well.
Animals are homeless with more deforestation and hence they enter nearby villages for food and shelter. With this mission animals will get their abode back.
Disadvantages:
The mission of plantation cannot be disadvantageous. By the technological point of view there will be lesser land for industrial set up.
Also trees emit carbondi-oxide at night and more tree would mean more CO2 at night.
