Harmful effects of plastic fibre are :

♦ Plastics are non-biodegradable. If plastics are burried underground they will not allow the rain water to percolate into the ground. Thus. water will remain stagnent in the surface.

♦ If plastics are thrown in roads, they gets wahed off into the drains where they get fixed and ultimately chokes the drain, not allowing the dirty water to move where many harmful diseases grow like malaria, cholera, etc.

♦ If plastics are burnt they will release many harmful toxic gases which pollutes the air causing air pollution. Also the plastic donot gets completely burnt, a little amount of plastic gets left after buring it.

Careless disposal of plastic bags is one of the most significant problem related to plastics, even if they are burnt they release toxic fumes which is Harmful of Lungs and Can cause Respiratory infection. Now a days, Most places have two different types of dustbins. One of these is for biodegradable products and other for non-biodegradable. Plastic is dumped into the later one.
