Harsh attended school for 165 days during a year. His attendance is 75% of the
total number of working days. How many working days were there in the academic
year? If his attendance is 5% short of the required school attendance, how many
days is he short of attendance?

75% => 165 days

100% => x days

both vary directly.

x =  \frac{100 \times 165}{75}

x =  \frac{16500}{75}

x = 220 \: days

therefore total number of working days is 220.

5% short of required attendance.

Number of days short of required attendance =

 \frac{5}{100}  \times 220

= 11 days

he is short of 11 days for required attendance.

Hope it helps

have a great day
