Given :

ratio of base of triangle: height = 3:2

area of triangle = 108cm²

Find: base and height of the triangle

we know that,

area \: of \: triangle =  \frac{1}{2}  \times base \times height

let the base be 3x and height be 2x

therefore,

108 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 3x \times 2x

2 and 2 in 2x gets cancelled.

108 =  {3x}^{2}

 \frac{108}{3}  =  { x}^{2}

36 = x²

 \sqrt{36}  = x

6 = x

hence,

hence,base = 3x = 3×6 = 18cm

height = 2x = 2×6 = 12cm
