Answer:

busy schedule-

Explanation:

In the story of “A romance of busy broker”, Harvey Maxwell an old, very busy Manhattan broker becomes overwhelmed with work and becomes very forgetful. His assistant Mr. Pitcher misunderstood him and call for a replacement of a stenographer to replace Miss. Leslie. Until Mr. Maxwell finds out and gets upset, telling Mr. Pitcher that Miss Leslie will hold the job of stenographer until she cannot anymore. When lunch hour for the office comes around Mr. Maxwell relies that he is in love with Miss Leslie. He asks her to marry him, only to find out that they got married the previous night at a small church around the corner from the office. The story commences with the entry of Miss Leslie in the office Mr. Pitcher could sense something different in the day but Mr. Maxwell seems to be acting normal, and as usual got absorbed in the office task. Miss Leslie is described as simple, yet elegant and beautiful. She enquired from Mr. Pitcher if Mr. Maxwell wanted him to look for new stenographer to which Pitcher agreed. Miss Leslie said she would continue to work till the replacement happens. After the busy day, when the work pressure mitigated, Mr. Maxwell caught the fragrance of Miss Leslie. He approached and in front of all the office staff admitted that he loved her a lot and wanted to marry her. Ms Leslie could not control her tears and pitied that Maxwell was so overworked that he forgotten that they tied the knot the previous evening. The end of the story is interesting because it reflects the extreme case of forgetfulness of Mr. Maxwell.
