Miss Leslie is described as simple, yet elegant and beautiful. She enquired from Mr. Pitcher if Mr. Maxwell wanted him to look for new stenographer to which Pitcher agreed. Miss Leslie said she would continue to work till the replacement happens. After the busy day, when the work pressure mitigated, Mr. Maxwell caught the fragrance of Miss Leslie. He approached and in front of all the office staff admitted that he loved her a lot and wanted to marry her. Ms Leslie could not control her tears and pitied that Maxwell was so overworked that he forgotten that they tied the knot the previous evening. The end of the story is interesting because it reflects the extreme case of forgetfulness of Mr. Maxwell.
