If he wanted he could work but he never tried to find the work.He said lies to people to have sympathy and pity on Him . He asked to people for money. once he met to sergie, he said lies to him too, but his lies were exposed and he got caught. So he told him the truth.
Sergie took pity upon him and gave him the work of chopping the woods.
