Cost of shirt material per metre = Rs. 50
Cost of trouser material per metre = Rs. 90

Given that for every 3 metres of shirt material he buys 2 metres of the trouser cloth.

Let assume the trouser material bought be x.
Then ,
the shirt material will be 3/2x or 1.5x

Cp of trouser material = 90x and
Cp of shirt material = 1.5x × 50 = 75x

P% of shirt = 12%
Sp = Cp ( P% + 100 ) / 100
Sp = 75x ( 12 + 100 ) / 100
Sp = 84 x

P% of trouser material = 10%
Sp = Cp ( P% + 100 ) / 100
Sp = 90x ( 10 + 100 ) / 100
Sp = 99 x

Total sale price = Sp of shirt material + Sp of trouser material
36600 = 84x + 99x
36600 = 183x
36600 / 183 = x
200 = x

Hence , hasan bought 200 m of trouser material.

Answer:

200 m

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. Shirt = 3
  2. Trouser = 2
  1. Shirt = 3/2 * x
  2. Trouser = 2/2 * x

Cost of shirt material = 50

Cost of trouser material = 90

Cost of shirt material for 3x/2 = 50 * 3x/2 = 75

Cost of trouser material for x = 90 * x = 90x

Profit of 10% (Trousers) = 10% of 90x = 10/100 * 90x = 9x

Profit of 10% (Trousers) = 12% of 75x = 12/100 * 75x = 9x

SP of trousers = 90x + 9x =99x

SP of trousers = 75x + 9x =84x

99x + 84x = 36600

183x = 36600

x = 36600/183 = 200 m
