Wooden bells have never seen in temples. The reason is that when wooden material collide with wooden material , it will not produced any sound. Wooden bells are non sonorous i.e  sound is not produced by the wooden bells. But if we ring a metal bell , the sound will come from it because metals are sonorous. The ring of the bell is very pleasant to to our ears.
