the basic answer is that heat is an energy
as the particles of any type of molecules get more energy in them then they had previously day starts to move quicker and it is known as heat
heat can be discharged through a chemical response or can be caught temporarily insulators the process of heat is extremely used in the common day to day activity and even the electricity is formed around the same concept only where the particles are charged
