✌️Remember few things while answering such questions that :-

✔️1. \sf {Said \: to } changes to \sf {asked } in the indirect speech.

✔️2. \sf { This } is changed to \sf { That } , in the indirect speech.

✔️3. As the direct speech has \sf {Yes/No \: type} question asked , we use "whether or if" in the indirect speech.

Dear Friend!

Question: The nurse said to the patient ,“ Don't you feel better this morning."

Answer: The nurse asked the patient whether he felt better that Morning.

Things to remember!

'Said to' changes  to asked to in the indirect speech.

'This' is changed to  That , in the indirect speech.

We may quote the actual words of the speaker. This is called direct Speech.

We may report what he said without quoting his exact words. This  is called Indirect Speech.
