solution- __________________________________

Extrnal length of box = 80cm
External breadth of the box =65cm
External heght of the box = 45cm
External volume of the box =

(80×65×45)cu cm = 234000cm³

Internal length of the box =>>

[80-(2.5×2)]cm=> (80-5) cm => 75cm

Internal breath of the box =>

[65-(2.5×2)]cm => (65-5) =60cm

Interna hight of the box =

(45-2.5)cm = 42.5cm

1. capacity of the box = internal volume of the box
= (75×60×42.5)cm³= 191250cm³

2. Volume of the wood used =
(external volume )-(internal volume )
= (234000-191250)cm³= 42750cm³

3. weight of 100cm³ of the wood =8g

weight of 42750cm³ of the wood
= (8/100 ×42750)g
= 3420g

= 3kg 420g.

Outer dimension of box = 80 * 65 * 45

Thickness of wood : - 2.5cm

________________________________________________________

= > internal dimensions of box
= (80−2.5×2)×(65−2.5×2)×(45−2.5)
= 75cm×60cm×42.5cm

________________________________________________________

Therefore , capacity of the box = 75cm×60cm×42.5cm =191250cm^3
________________________________________________________

outer volume of box = 80cm×65cm×45cm = 234000cm^3

________________________________________________________

Therefore, volume of wood used
= 234000cm^3−191250cm^3 = 42750cm^3

Therefore, weight of box = 8 / 100 *42750

= >
3420 gram ( 3 kg 420 g )
