first find the factors of given numbers
then circle the common numbers in it
it's your HCF.
for e. g. 2=2*1
4=2*2
so, it's HCF is 2.

Find the prime factorization for the given numbers.
Then multiply the common prime factors of those numbers.
The result is the hcf of the given numbers.
For example :
Hcf of 10 and 50:
10=2*5
50=2*5*5
Common prime factors=2*5=10
Hence, 10is the hcf of 10&50
