Step-by-step explanation:

Given : HCF of co-prime numbers 4 and 15 was found as follows by factorization:

4 = 2\times 24=2×2

15 = 3\times 515=3×5

since there is no common prime factors, so HCF of 4 and 15 is 0.

To find : Is the answer correct ? If not, what is the correct HCF?

Solution :

HCF is the highest common factor i.e. the factor which is common ion both factorization

We can write factorization as

4 =1\times 2\times 24=1×2×2 and 15 =1\times 3\times 515=1×3×5

The common factor in 4 and 5 is 1.

Zero is not the HCF as HCF of two co prime numbers is always 1 .

Therefore, The given result is not correct.
