Question :------

we have to Find HCF

  • 12/7
  • 15/8
  • 16/9

Solution :------

we know that , HCF of fraction values = HCF of All numerators /LCM of All Denominators .

To Find HCF of Given values ,

First we have to Find HCF of = 12, 15 and 16

HCF = Highest common factor

12 = 2 × 2 × 3

15 = 3 × 5

16 = 2× 2 × 2 × 2

Here only common Multiple of all is = 2 .

so, HCF of 12, 15 and 16 = \red{\bold{</strong><strong>2</strong><strong>}}

______________________________

Now , Lets find LCM of Denominators = 7 , 8 and 9

since they didnt have anything common ,

Their LCM will be = 7 × 8 × 9 = \red{\bold{</strong><strong>5</strong><strong>0</strong><strong>4</strong><strong>}}

______________________________

so, HCF of Given values 12/7, 15/8, 16/9 =

\huge{\frac{</strong><strong>2</strong><strong>}{</strong><strong>5</strong><strong>0</strong><strong>4</strong><strong>}} = \huge{\frac{</strong><strong>1</strong><strong>}{</strong><strong>2</strong><strong>5</strong><strong>2</strong><strong>}} (Ans)

(Hope it helps you)
