Explanation:

hydrochloric acid in gaseous for does not dissociate its iron as it dissociate is Iron only in water. the acidic property of any thing is due to the dissociation of ions in water as HCL gas does not dissociate any hydrogen ion therefore it is not acidic .but when it is dissolved in water than it dissociate hydrogen ions and it shows is acidic behaviour .
