He knocked vigorously and was puzzled When the door did not open. – this was not right – somewhere he sensed he was getting it all wrong – the door was supposed to open that would have lead him to the huge reserves of golden treasures – Suddenly he remembered what the chief of the robbers did – Similarly he shouted ‘Khujla – Sim –Sim ‘ (Open Sim Sim) – But then also, the door did not open – he was confused – he tried various combinations of the the above mantra, but nothing worked – Suddenly a flash of water hit his face. – he thought that the robbers got hold of him – he opened his eyes just to find his wife having a good laugh watching him tug the door of their locked almirah, trying to retrieve treasure in his sleep.
It was published in the December 1948 issue of Thrilling Wonder Stories.[2] There have been three different radio adaptations (Dimension X, X Minus One and Sci Fi Channel's Seeing Ear Theatre). The story was reprinted in The Best Science Fiction Stories: 1949[3]
