Hello!!

________________________________________

Given:- He says, " I am reading my book".(Direct speech)

To convert:- Indirect speech (In case)

The Indirect speech of "He says, " I am reading my book".
will be:-
He says that He is reading his book.

here, No tense will be changed since Reporting verb is in Simple present.

Due to absense of to after, says. it remains says.

He says that he is reading his book.

in this, we will change first remove comma and inverted comma then will use he inspite of i and is inspite of am because the reporting speech is in present tense.
