● Explanation-
- When t-butyl bromide ((CH3)3-C-Br) is heated with sodium ethoxide (C2H5-ONa), it forms isobutylene (CH3-HC=CH-CH3).

(CH3)3-C-Br + C2H5-ONa ---> CH3-HC=CH-CH3 + C2H5OH + NaBr

- In this reaction ethanol (C2H5OH) and sodium bromiden (NaBr) are obtained as by products.
